1958 B-204 Truck and Trailer Rental Set
Here is one of the six boxed truck sets produced by Tonka Toys in 1958. Tonka Produced 3 Farm truck related sets, two construction sets and one firetruck set. Another set was produced but contained a farm truck with aminals and a corral rather than multiple trucks like the other sets mentioned.
The 1958 Tonka Toys Farm truck is a terrific looking truck with the removable white stake sides. This truck has a rear hook for attaching the accessory trailers like the white stake trailer shown. This truck and trailer combination was not sold together in 1958 with the exception of the number B-204  Trailer Rental set made this year. The trailer could be purchased separately for 1.98 in red coloring.
The size of these trucks and their terrific detail have made them very popular to collect today, and this Green Farm Truck is one that belongs in every collection! I cleaned and polished this all original truck.
The 1958 Tonka Toys Pickup is a real beauty. This is the last year Tonka Toy would put chain on the rear of the tailgate on their pickup trucks. This Step side truck with 4 equal lines on the top of the hood has a great look. The front bumper is held in place by the four snap in headlights, the bumper is riveted to the truck and the grill has the "T" in the center. The only window in the 1958 Tonka Trucks was the front windshield. Side and rear windows would not be added until 1965.
