Here's a handsome scale model truck that has a big load of real boards. Added realism is produced by a roller that unloads the lumber in perfect order. Operator turns roller and load load slides off. 18 inches long, 5 3/4 inches high, 6 inches wide. Note: The bed for this truck can be found with a Baby Blue, red or white underside. It was never painted Bronze, which is what you would expect. The Lumber Load had a small red flag Stapled to a board, which is almost impossible to find today. The bed is easily removed and is often found with the hood scoop damaged and the bed stakes loose from being dropped. This truck was produced in red and bronze with the bronze version being harder to find. Another interesting point of the Bronze number 22 Lumber truck is the fact itonly came with one chain rather than two as other Vintage Tonka Toy Trucks did.
